Orientation

This past Saturday, I had to attend a meeting for the details concerning my trip to Greece. At the beginning of the meeting, all students from different institutions met in one large group. With fifteen international trips, I have to say that there were about 300 people in the room. We went over the basics of conduct and safety, but the exciting part didn't come until we broke up into our individual countries. I learned that we will be staying in four different hotels while we are there and visiting many different islands and cities in Greece. Our first stop is Athens, Greece. We will be there for three nights and enjoy sites like the Acropolis and the Acropolis museum as well as the ancient Agora. The next adventure is to Delphi for one night and Patras for two nights. In Patras, we will visit ancient Olympia. We will be staying the longest in Tolon, Greece for twelve nights (the remainder of the trip). The hotel there is right on the beach, which I can only imagine is the most beautiful thing ever. While in Tolon, we will see ancient Corinth, Mycenae, and Epidaurus. In addition, we are going on an all day cruise to two Greek islands. I am completely in awe that I have the chance to experience all of this. I will be swimming the Aegean sea, how crazy is that?! I am so thankful for this opportunity, and I can't wait to share my trip day by day on this blog. I will post my favorite picture of the day with each post. I have about a month and a half before I leave. Let the preparation begin!
